The large and imposing figure of King Arthur surrounded by the Knights of his round table dominates the illustration, The Cavaliers of King Arthur. Seated before him we see the figure of Isolde, unmistakably in blue, which he uses throughout this series for her image. She has hatched a plan to have King Arthur support her and Tristan and gain their forgiveness with King Marc.
