In Spectacles with Holograms and Computers, Dalí shows us a series of fantastic everyday objects which are transformed into far more than what we can see in real life, representing an even greater truth. Perhaps the spectacles the title refers to would allow us to project what we see in our mind’s eye. These glasses would enable us to share the untold wealth of information that is lost through the veil of communication. Dalí reveals the power of this invention by showing the inside of a man’s brain, and we are given the visual equivalent of the intangible human mind.
