Salvador Dalí’s Saturnian Giraffe is fully recorded in the catalog raisonné The Official Catalogue of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dalí, written by famed Dalí cataloger Albert Field. The Field catalog is the most well-known go-to source for detailing Dalí’s graphic works. Corresponding to Field’s description, this work is an original engraving with lithographic color from the Roman numeral edition of 195, and signed by the artist in pencil on the lower right. This work is also signed by the publisher of this series Jean Lavigne, below the edition number. The publisher’s signature further authenticates the engraving and adds value for the decerning collector and fine art enthusiast.
