The Two Banks
The Two Banks is one of only fourteen large-scale color lithographs created by the master Chagall. Chagall expert Roger Passeron who wrote the preface for the official catalog raisonné of Chagall's works, says of these lithographs, "Chagall's fourteen giant lithographs are not only exceptional because of their unusual size, but because of their quality, because of the feeling of radiant plenitude which they give out, because of the luminous transparence, full of youth and spring, which they reflect." Coupled with the iconic imagery, small edition size, and exceedingly excellent condition, this large-scale lithograph is one of the rarest and most important Chagalls we have ever offered to our collectors.
