In the Dalí signature blue color for our heroin, a distraught Isolde is seen with her most trusted friend Branguine. In the dry-point illustration, Isolde and Branguine, Dalí chooses to tenderly illustrate the female bond between Isolde and her most trusted handmaiden, Branguine, by showing them in a loving embrace. The two women are almost seen as one. Isolde has entrusted Branguine to find and hide Tristan in the woods – the same woods they had so often met in. Green vines and leaves envelop the women to protect and shield them while hiding their secrets.
