Among the few graphics Salvador Dali created before the 1960s, Santiago el Grande is a lithographic rendition of Dali’s famed painting known under the same title. The painting, now in the collection of The Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Canada, has been seen in exhibitions at the Salvador Dali Museum and Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. The impressive thirteen foot tall masterpiece took Dali five months to paint, and he declared it, “the greatest painting since Raphael” when it was completed. This awe-inspiring image is a true masterpiece by the legendary Surrealist, Salvador Dali. To make this lithograph even more special, Dali drew an original drawing on the bottom margin of this piece, making this unique work of art one of the very best Dali’s we have ever been able to offer.
